The Coordinator-Health, Safety & Prevention (HSP), together with the Workplace Health and Safety team, works to strengthen Northern Health's culture of safety. Under the direction of the Regional Manager-HSP, the incumbent develops Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program materials, supports implementation of occupational health and safety programs, coordinates program administration, and delivers safety education and training sessions.
Starting salary will be approximately from $57,347 to $71,684 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
The city itself is the 4th largest in British Columbia and has a population of approximately 82,300 local residents and a service centre for nearly 320,000. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
• Are you an International Applicant? Graduation from an Occupational Health and Safety certificate or diploma program from a recognized institution.
• Two (2) years of Occupational Health and Safety experience in the healthcare settings.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid BC driver's license.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and digital communications (e.g.
• Experienced working with computer applications, databases, and report creation.
• Working knowledge of BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the Workers Compensation Act.
