Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is a large and growing healthcare organization looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to the team as a result of an internal move. They are located in the downtown Toronto core. The role is a great mix of responsibilities including the development of budget & forecasting models in order to be an integral part of the annual budget process. You will work with operational staff to ensure accurate forecasting assumptions and assist in the reporting of variances to actual.
Job Function:
Our client is a large and growing healthcare organization looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to the team as a result of an internal move. They are located in the downtown Toronto core. The role is a great mix of responsibilities including the development of budget & forecasting models in order to be an integral part of the annual budget process. You will work with operational staff to ensure accurate forecasting assumptions and assist in the reporting of variances to actual.
This role is responsible for reviewing month-end results and providing meaningful analysis, various account reconciliations, partnering with product managers and various functional areas to help build out new lines of business, analyze profitability and make recommendations to management. The ideal candidate is an experienced designated accountant with experience in FP&A and proficient in preparing management presentations.
Additional key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst will include:
Financial Analysis
- Assist management with monthly in-depth analysis of P&L accounts.
- Provide value added input from findings in account analysis i.e. opportunities for increasing revenue, cost savings or process improvements.
- Assist in the development and reporting of financial and non-financial key performance indicators for clinic operations.
- Provide monthly written analysis of select business performance versus budget and prior year.
- Understand cost drivers of the business, including the concept of fixed vs. variable costs.

- University degree in business (advanced Excel) and a CPA designation, with experience from a large complex organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Healthcare experience is an asset.
