Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the Director, People & Culture (P&C) plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing programs to enhance the organizations People and Culture functions and foster a positive workplace culture. This role has oversight over human resources, recruitment, training, safety and payroll. Assist the CPCO to ensure People and Culture initiatives, programs and processes are aligned with overall corporate strategy, purpose, mission, and core values
Payroll and benefits
Recruitment and workforce planning
Management and leadership development programs and general training
Diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
Oversee compliance updates to payroll, health and safety programs, employee policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other HR forms and documents
Enhance and improve existing employee rewards and recognition programs to reinforce the company core values and the fostering of a positive and inclusive work culture
Champion and lead the succession planning and performance management programs within the senior management team
Undergraduate degree in business or human resources preferred (other business major’s acceptable) or equivalent
~5 to 7+ years experience at a Senior Manager and/or Director level leading multiple functional areas
~ Hands on experience of managing and mentoring high performing managers in a complex environment
~ Experience in labour relations is a strong asset
~ Monthly social activities
