Job Summary

In this role, you will manage and oversee daily financial operations, including accounting processes, tax preparation, financial reporting, and system setup. You will work closely with overseas finance teams to resolve financial issues, collaborate with the sales department to ensure tax compliance, and coordinate with HR on payroll and benefits-related matters. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, experience in multinational environments, and proficiency with QuickBooks, tax systems, and financial analysis. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate data entries and maintain financial transaction records.
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable transactions, general ledger postings, and statements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Set up and manage QuickBooks from scratch, ensuring timely monthly closings in collaboration with HQ.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns in compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Maintain proper documentation through filing and scanning.
  • Collaborate daily with sales, logistics, and customers to resolve financial issues.
  • Work closely with the sales department on tax-related matters and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the HR department on financial issues related to payroll and benefits.
  • Communicate with overseas finance teams to address daily financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role, ideally in a multinational company.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online;
    experience in setting up systems from scratch is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. tax systems preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese, with strong communication skills.
  • Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to software like Monday.Com, SAP, or equivalent is an advantage.
