Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate chemical engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution

  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

  • Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and verifying the implementation of these solutions

  • Understand and optimize current operations and develop, maintain and implement a long-term depletion plan and make forecasts by using numerical simulation

  • Review daily production data for accuracy and bring together in data management systems

  • Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports, graphical representation and presentations, as required

  • Build and assist with developing production profiles to support long range plans

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is a 4, 8, or 12-month work term starting in September 2024. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application.

  • Locations include Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo), Calgary, Edmonton, Firebag and Fort Hills.

  • Relocation assistance will be provided if required.
