These roles will be supporting Facility Integrity and Unit Contact Engineering groups, providing engineering support to achieve equipment reliability and product quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and playing a pivotal role in optimizing process efficiencies. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals to ensure the reliability and safety of critical industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist team with solution implementation.

• Learn the design and structure of the plant and provide day-to-day operation support.

• Monitor operations of the plant and provide analysis to monitor trends

• Performed external and detailed inspections, certified in-service pressure equipment, and handled repair and inspection plans.

• Collaborate with regulators, reporting repairs, alterations, and incidents, and conduct required in-service inspections under Cenovus Certify.

Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

• Available to begin work in September 2024

• Exposure to simulation and modeling experience considered an asset

• This role requires driving, and will require you to have a valid class 5 drivers license and provide acceptable drivers abstract.

• Comfortable in MS Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Education

• Must be enrolled in a Chemical or Process Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

• Candidates currently enrolled in either a master’s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

• Preference will be given to 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students.

Working Conditions

• May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.

Safety Sensitive

• This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
