Dumont est un gisement de nickel et de cobalt à grande échelle situé à 25 km à l'ouest de la ville d'Amos, dans le camp minier établi de l'Abitibi, dans la province de Québec, favorable à l'exploitation minière. Dumont Nickel et NiVolt sont en mesure de contribuer durablement à la transition énergétique et à l'industrie croissante des batteries au Québec, en produisant une moyenne annuelle de 39 000 tonnes de nickel et de Cobalt dans un précipité d'hydroxyde mixte (MHP) concentré depuis plus de 30 ans à partir d'une mine, d'un concentrateur et d'une usine hydro-métallurgique. Le projet a le potentiel de fournir du nickel pour environ 780 000 véhicules électriques par année, sur la base d'une chimie de cathode à haute teneur en nickel. Le nickel de Dumont aura une faible empreinte carbone en raison du réseau d'énergie renouvelable du Québec et de la capacité de capture du carbone de la roche serpentine. Les projets Dumont et NiVolt conservent leur licence sociale d'exploitation via un engagement communautaire continu et un accord sur les impacts et les bénéfices avec les partenaires des Premières nations de Dumont, la Première nation Abitibiwinni.
Les projets Dumont Nickel et NiVolt sont détenus à 100 % par Kinterra Capitals. Kinterra Capital ("Kinterra") est une société de capital-investissement basée à Toronto qui investit dans les personnes, les idées, les minéraux critiques et les infrastructures stratégiques nécessaires pour accélérer la transition énergétique.

Sous la direction et la supervision du directeur des opérations, Chief Operating Officer, le VP Finances Dumont sera chargé de superviser les activités comptables et financières liées aux projets Dumont Nickel et NiVolt, notamment la préparation des rapports financiers, la réalisation d'audits de conformité et le contrôle des processus internes. Le candidat idéal aura une connaissance approfondie de la gestion financière, des exigences en matière de rapports et des réglementations de l'industrie minière afin de garantir l'exactitude des rapports financiers, l'optimisation des coûts et l'établissement du budget.
Superviser la préparation d'états financiers complets et précis, notamment les bilans, les comptes de résultats et les tableaux de flux de trésorerie, en respectant les normes comptables et les exigences réglementaires applicables au secteur minier.
Effectuer une analyse approfondie des coûts spécifiques à l'exploitation minière, incluant l'extraction, le traitement et les dépenses opérationnelles. Identifier les possibilités de réduction des coûts et travailler avec les équipes opérationnelles pour optimiser les performances financières.
Assurer la conformité avec les réglementations de l'industrie minière, les directives en matière de rapports, les lois fiscales et les normes environnementales, en fournissant les données financières nécessaires aux autorités réglementaires, le cas échéant.
Collaborer avec les chefs de service pour élaborer des budgets annuels, des prévisions financières et des plans financiers à long terme alignés sur les projets miniers et les objectifs de croissance de l'entreprise.
Contrôler l'exposition aux risques financiers et formuler des recommandations pour améliorer la gestion des risques.
Établir et maintenir des contrôles internes robustes pour protéger les actifs de l'entreprise, prévenir la fraude et maintenir l'intégrité des données financières.
Coordonner avec les auditeurs externes et les conseillers fiscaux lors des audits et des déclarations fiscales. Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine similaire. Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français
Expérience confirmée en tant que VP, Finance, Contrôleur ou dans une position similaire de leadership financier dans le secteur minier.
Familiarité avec les méthodologies comptables et l'analyse financière propres au secteur minier.
Excellentes compétences analytiques avec la capacité d'interpréter des données et des tendances financières complexes.
Expérience avérée de la mise en œuvre de contrôles financiers et de stratégies de gestion des risques.
