MRU Camps is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in sharing their knowledge, passion, and expertise with children and youth. Under the supervision of the Youth Program Coordinator, the Leader is responsible for assisting Instructors with lessons and engaging with campers in a variety of activities such as crafts, sports, and games. Additional responsibilities include the completion of required administrative duties and maintaining smooth, cooperative, and professional relations with staff, campers, and parents. Camp Leaders will also work with Volunteers. 
These are casual positions ending August 30, 2024. The hours of work are between 7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Camp Leaders must be available for all 9 weeks of employment (July 2 - August 30, 2024) and orientation week (June 24 – 27, 2024).
All MRU Camps staff are required to provide the following at their own cost prior to commencement:
Demonstrate and model appropriate behaviours for children and youth.
Communicate professionally with parents and guardians about their child’s experience at camp.
Experience working in a childcare/educational setting delivering lesson plans and curriculum an asset.
Previous experience working or volunteering in camp related or recreational activities an asset.
Previous experience with curriculum design and implementation is an asset.
75 hours per day), Monday to Friday, July 2 - August 30, 2024.
Must be available for mandatory staff training June 24 – 27, 2024.
