Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to spearhead the launch and establishment of one of our premium derma brands, rooted in pharmaceutical heritage, within the Canadian market. This pivotal role will involve crafting and executing comprehensive brand strategies, orchestrating product launches, and developing go-to-market plans across both online and offline channels. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen understanding of the Canadian beauty and pharmaceutical landscape, and be passionate about establishing a new standard in derma-cosmetics. This position will report to the General Manager.

Principal Accountabilities – responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute the launch strategy for the brand in Canada, ensuring alignment with the brand’s dermo-cosmetic positioning.
  • Create 360° marketing plans, including digital, in-store, and professional skincare channels.
  • Build and manage the Canadian brand marketing plan, ensuring alignment with global dermo-cosmetic guidelines while tailoring messaging to the local market.
  • Ensure that scientific and dermatological credibility is maintained in all communications.
  • Oversee product launches focusing on skincare products that bridge cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop relationships with dermatologists, skincare professionals, and medical experts to drive credibility. Create education and sampling programs tailored to professional skincare practitioners.
  • Collaborate with key retail partners to execute campaigns targeting both consumers and skincare professionals. Ensure brand's products are positioned as a credible solution for sensitive skin in both retail and online channels.
  • Ensure marketing content and messaging reflect the derma-cosmetic ethos, emphasizing its pharmaceutical background and efficacy for sensitive skin conditions. Localize global content while maintaining the brand’s clinical positioning.
  • Ensure all product claims, marketing materials, and advertising adhere to Health Canada regulations for skincare products, especially those positioned as dermo-cosmetics.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Supply Chain Management, Graphic Design, and Communication & Consumer Engagement, to ensure cohesive brand execution across all channels. Collaborate closely with global teams to maintain consistency in brand messaging.
  • Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and brand launches, particularly in relation to the sensitive skin market. Analyze sales and consumer insights to refine marketing strategies.
  • Manage the marketing budget for the brand, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to drive dermo-cosmetic product awareness and sales growth.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members as required. Foster a culture of high performance and clinical expertise.
  • Liaise with North America Regional HQ and Korea HQ on local market support, reporting and ad-hoc requests

Key Experience and Skills

  • Must have at least 5 years of marketing experience in the beauty and FMCG industries, with at least 3 years specifically focused on dermatological product marketing in derma-cosmetics, including launching products designed for sensitive or problem skin.
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required. A background in dermatology or cosmetics is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Canadian skincare regulations and experience working on product claims, health and safety requirements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in building relationships with dermatologists or skin care professionals and developing medical marketing strategies.
  • Experience with Canadian retailers and e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Scientific knowledge related to skincare formulations, sensitive skin treatments, and the dermo-cosmetic sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills, both written and verbal.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in budget management (tracking and forecasting).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global and cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to develop innovative marketing strategies that resonate with skin care professionals and consumers.
  • Deep understanding of derma-cosmetic product formulations and regulatory requirements for skin care products in Canada.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial setting with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
