Drywall Estimator-High Rise

Primary Job Duties:

  • Review, and price as required site instructions and work orders.
  • Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates regarding Site Instructions.
  • Prepare and send out quotations for Site Instructions including follow-up.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and documents.
  • Assist estimators to identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements for Site Instructions and Extra's.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Review scope of work requirements by analyzing and interpreting contracts.
  • Coordinate between Foreman, Estimators and Project Managers to ensure that all Extra's have purchase orders submitted.
  • Provide reports for Project Manager regarding outstanding purchase orders and incomplete Extra's.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain cost data base by entering data for material and labour as required in software programs.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Visit on site locations for safety meetings, construction management meetings, and to assist foreman with questions regarding site instructions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in high-rise construction
  • Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes
  • Proficiency with Plexxis, MS Word, Excel
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
