The Opportun i ty:

Under Sunwing , we are looking for a Crew Scheduler to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Crew Scheduler you will be responsible for ensuring all pairings are staffed safely and efficiently in a timely fashion while complying with all government regulations and collective agreements and will also provide the crew with a continuously high level of customer service . The position reports to the Manager, Crew Scheduling and will be located in Toronto, ON .

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor and evaluate crew schedule legalities and amend, as necessary.
  • Ensure legal and timely staffing of all flights in relation to the government regulations and the Sunwing working conditions
  • Provide effective and timely communication with all Crew Members as it relates to schedule changes, flight assignments, and delays.
  • Incorporate safety guidelines and policies into all functions of the position.
  • Liaise with the applicable training department to notify of disruptions
  • Work with your team to solve arising operational issues as quickly as possible.
  • Apply and relay information regarding the application of Crew Agreements and Regulations.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities to achieve on time operational performance in concert with other operational areas
  • Provide feedback for process change for continuous improvement for Crew Scheduling activities.
  • Other duties as required

What You’ll Need:

  • Must be able to work in office (located near Pearson Airport)
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Flexible schedule; Days and nights, rotational shift work (4 days on, 4 days off)
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills( written & verbal);
  • Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, high pressure, environment and work with different personality types
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Previous airline operational experience, an asset
