Production Planner Intern

Production Scheduler St. Food Production
Our client is a fast growing food manufacturer. They operate with a dedicated small management team and are looking to hire for a critial supply chain role in one of their facilities. The Production Planner / Scheduler's key mandate is to plan the production schedule according to order and inventory requirements, and provide accurate information to production, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, customer service, and QC & QA teams. Also, you would be responsible for maintaining production files and reviewing inventory levels.
Review customer’s orders and inventory requirements daily
Plan/schedule production of various lines according to business and customer requirements
Control and monitor production schedule by effectively communicating with various departments such as production, purchasing, customer service, QC & QA, logistics, and warehouse
Generate and maintain accurate production log and other scheduling related reports as required
Review and analyze production schedule to identify potential issues and proactively correct situations
Review production performance and capabilities
Prepare forecasted ingredient usage log for next day's production
Input production raw ingredient usage requirement into raw material inventory log, and effectively communicate material shortages to relevant teams
Review and adjust raw material inventory log as requiredProvide backup and support for other Supply Chain functions as required
Ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Experienced in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), experience in Business
Post-secondary education in Business, Science & Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field required
~3 – 5 years of experience working in production planning, detailed scheduling, replenishment planning, or materials management required
~ Strong aptitude for mathematics, data management, statistics, probabilities, etc.
~3+ years experience in the food industry or related field is required
~·Experience working in food facilities, with understanding of food allergens / Food safety standards.
