Job Description:We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Buildings division and deliver innovative projects in the healthcare, education, hospitality, recreational, entertainment, retail, commercial office, mixed-use, multi-family residential, and light industrial sectors. Commercial Manager Responsibilities:- Lead project risk management activities with high-functioning project pursuit and delivery teams for the Ontario Buildings business.
- Ensure commercial best practices and procedures are effectively implemented, including:
- Consulting with pre-construction teams, insurance/risk advisors, legal advisors, and business leaders to help identify potential risks and opportunities in project pursuits.
- Working with project and operational management to develop procurement plans, risk-management processes, and mitigation plans.
- Assist project management with cost control risk & opportunity assessments, and project/portfolio forecasting while developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders like owners, joint venture partners, financing partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Degree: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Law, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of construction and/or related commercial management experience. Extensive practice in project controls management (costs and scheduling), quantity surveying, project management, commercial management, and/or supply chain management is required.
