Our client, a prop-tech scaleup that uses technology to connect local partners with funding and improve rental experiences for families across the US, is currently looking to hire a hands-on Technical Lead with expertise in building custom applications in Angular or React, Node.js, using serverless technologies, and event-driven architecture.
Your New Role:
As a Technical Lead, you'll collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and solution architects to guide the evolution of the company’s technology stack, while also providing mentorship and empowerment to the technical teams. This role is a perfect fit for Full-Stack Engineers who've held senior roles and are eager to apply their expertise in a new and influential capacity, driving the company’s software development vision forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Engineering Leadership and playing a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle by aligning the technical strategy with the product vision, leveraging React and Node.js expertise to create responsive interfaces and scalable server-side applications.
- Translating product needs into a robust technical architecture, and meticulously breaking down designs into manageable tasks.
- and lead the team to execute with precision.
- Leverage your hands-on experience in React and Node.js to architect and craft high-quality code, fostering technical excellence and innovation within the product.
- Participate in Code Reviews, providing leadership in design principles and architectural patterns.
- Dive into troubleshooting complex technical issues to ensure top-notch product performance and software quality.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and growth within the engineering team by guiding and mentoring team members.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, serving as the primary technical liaison.
Key Requirements:
- 9+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership position overseeing technical teams .
- Proficient in full-stack development , with a strong focus on Angular or React for front-end development and Node.js for server-side solutions and AWS serverless architecture .
- Proficient in crafting advanced technical designs to guarantee efficient execution by the teams.
- Expertise in cloud computing environments (ideally AWS), with a strong command of event-driven and stream architectures; and a deep understanding of design principles and architectural patterns (specifically those around serverless event-driven architectures).
- Proficiency in AWS Eventbridge, Kinesis and serverless infrastructures (Lambda, Dynamo, S3, Cognito, SQS, etc)
- Proficiency in crafting hybrid architectures that encompass low/no-code platforms (e.g., No Code Unqork), CRM configuration, integration of third-party SaaS platforms , and adeptness in serverless event-driven architecture development .
- Demonstrated proficiency in orchestrating complex integrations, aligning internal systems and external services by merging diverse APIs, third-party services, and custom data connectors to ensure seamless interoperability and efficient data flow within the full-stack environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially Product Management and QA.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical acumen, and the ability to navigate between strategic thinking and tactical execution, striking a balance between engineering excellence and efficient delivery while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.
