Duties & Responsibilities:
• Travel within the greater Toronto area, and across Canada to visually inspect electrical building systems in the commercial/retail industry.
• Analyze, diagnose, commission, and provide recommendations for electrical equipment.
• Service/maintain/repair lighting systems.
• Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs.
• Understand national and provincial building codes across Canada.
• Provides technical support as requested.
• Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines.
• The ability to complete paperwork accurately in a timely manner.


Qualifications:
• Knowledge of electrical systems required
• Working understanding of electrical systems and how they function
• 309A license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• A valid 442A license is considered an asset.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and must have a vehicle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and detail oriented and problem-solving skills
• The ability to be flexible with regards to work location and work schedule is a must, including the ability to travel away from home


The duties and responsibilities mentioned, while not exhaustive, represent responsibilities that the Site Inspector will hold. The responsibilities listed may change over time, as instructed by INVIRO.
