The Art Gallery of Hamilton is looking to hire for the role of Lead, Retail for the AGH Shop.
The AGH Shop supports the mission of the Art Gallery of Hamilton through the sale of AGH publications and exclusive merchandise, as well as an expertly-curated selection of art-related books, contemporary home and gift products, and Hamilton-related/made products. The AGH Shop works closely with and shares a space with AGH Art Sales & Services, representing and selling works of art by 200+ local and regional artists.
The Lead, Retail is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight and operational management of both the onsite and online AGH Shop. They ensure outstanding customer sales and service delivery, while creating a shop experience that highlights local, regional and collection-based works. The Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shop including purchasing, merchandising, consignment, point of sale management, reconciliation, inventory control, and management of shop staff and volunteers.
This position reports directly to the Head, People & Operations and is a full-time role, based on 35 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, with occasional evening work.
