  2. Inspect trunking systems
  3. Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  4. Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  5. Repair cable signals
  6. Test trunking systems
  7. Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  8. Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  9. Instruct apprentices
  10. Complete and maintain test and service reports
  11. Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  12. Determine work assignments
  13. Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
  14. Splice, join, and connect wires
  15. Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
