Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager

Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find an energetic Senior Project Manager to support our client’s Operations Team. The ideal candidate applies a structured methodology to construction projects, encompassing client relations, administrative reporting, budget management, and scheduling. This ensures effective coordination, tracking, reporting, and monitoring of construction project activities.
Responsibilities:- Adopt and integrate all the client’s project management systems
- Manage project activities throughout the cycle of the project, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, and budgets
- Achieve the project budget and complete accurate monthly forecasts
- Engage strategically with clients, assessing and assuming responsibility for all external stakeholders, while employing diplomacy and professionalism to mutually enhance relationships
- Oversee on-site construction activities and facilitate communication among subcontractors, construction site personnel, office staff, and clients as needed
- Promote the growth of high-performing project teams by overseeing, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure consistent feedback is provided to staff, including formal quarterly evaluations of employee progress
- Technical diploma in a construction-related field (CET) or related engineering degree
- 8+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Alberta within the commercial/Institutional construction industry
- Thorough understanding of construction documentation, drawings, specifications, cost analysis, budgets, and contemporary construction practices and methods
- Proficiency in effective communication and collaboration with various project stakeholders, anticipating their requirements, and proactively addressing challenges within a dynamic setting
- Superior leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external clients
- Demonstrated capability and skill in inspiring, coaching, and guiding fellow team members to advance both technically and professionally in their respective careers
- Strong negotiation skills
