Status: Full Time or Part-Time role
The program serves clients across diverse specialty populations, necessitating the provision of intricate care and specialized nursing skills within the comfort of their homes. Designed to cater to individuals discharged from hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, the program delivers personalized nursing care tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Currently, we are hiring for the Toronto Central region only. Nurses will operate in 8-hour shifts, incorporating bi-weekly weekend rotations. These skills encompass a range of clinical procedures, including pneumostat care, atrium dry seal care, T-tube care, IV Lasix administration, and other specialized medical interventions. In addition, other comprehensive suites of services include wound care, intravenous (IV) therapy, administering injections, and the removal of PICC lines and chemo. This multifaceted skill set underscores the nurses' capability to deliver a high standard of care encompassing various medical needs within the home care context.
Hold a valid First Aid or CPR Certification.
A moderate level of wound care or venipuncture knowledge and experience is an asset.
Acute Care and Medical-Surgical nursing experience is an asset.
Knowledge of community nursing is an asset.
Commitment to modeling lifelong learning and professional growth and can apply critical thinking skills to provide client care.
Successful completion of the Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to ensure safe work practices are followed (transfers, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling)
A valid Ontario driver’s license (G License)
