Reporting to Senior Manager, Maintenance Operations East
Previous supervisory training and/or experience considered an asset;
Must hold valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License E category;
ACA considered an asset;
Must be familiar with maintenance control – technical operation functions;
Ability to communicate in Aboriginal Languages considered an asset;
Must be adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision;
Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
Responsible for all Avionics work being accomplished at the Ottawa facility including modifications, line maintenance, and Battery/ wire harness repair shops;
Ensures that all maintenance performed by employees working under his/her responsibility is to proper standards and uses approved materials and practices;
Ensures all planned Task cards, periodic inspections, and Deferred Maintenance Items (DMIs) are carried out in a timely manner;
In the case where a repair is accomplished to an aircraft that requires periodic inspections, advises the Director of Quality Assurance in writing;
Ensures proper completion of all Aircraft Part Tags, both serviceable and unserviceable, are completed or originated;
Responsible for the care and control of Company owned publications, tools, and equipment by personally ensuring that publications, tools and equipment are returned after use;
Ensure facility housekeeping by personally ensuring that the hangar, equipment and office areas are left in a neat, clean and orderly fashion at the end of his/her shift;
Ensures that any required Maintenance Irregularity Reports (MIRs), Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs), Daily Status Reports and Aircraft Problem Communication Reports are completed and sent in a timely manner;
Responsible for OH&S compliance while on shift;
