YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS TOOLING ENGINEERING MANAGER:
  1. Establish policies for regulatory compliance in Health, Safety & Environment.
  2. Develop and implement innovative composite technologies across company locations.
  3. Oversee design and manufacturing of tools, including molds.
  4. Manage engineering team to meet corporate standards and expectations.
  5. Evaluate parts for manufacturability and ROI.
  6. Create business plans and value propositions for composite technology.
  7. Support lean manufacturing and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Initiate engineering change requests (ECRs) where appropriate.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A TOOLING ENGINEERING MANAGER:
  • A degree or diploma in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields, accompanied by 5-10 years’ work experience
  • Extensive background in managerial positions, preferably overseeing operations across multiple sites
  • Certification in Lean principles or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Professional Engineering designation or Certified Engineering Technologist status would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Oracle, Team Center, and Unigraphics (considered an asset)
  • Proven track record of effectively collaborating within a fast-paced team environment
