The University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Music invites applications for a term Instructor appointment specializing in Electronic and Popular Music Production and Digital Audio Arts . Primary teaching duties are within the Digital Audio Arts ( DAA ) Major in the Department of Music. Expected teaching will include six courses including: Modern Studio Recording Techniques ( MUSI 2550), Technical Ear Training ( MUSI 2560), Electronic and Popular Music Production ( MUSI 3850), Introduction to Music Technology ( MUSI 2500), and Immersive Audio ( MUSI 4637). The Music Department strives to promote Indigenous resurgence, decolonization, and anti-racism. Successful candidates must demonstrate that they share this commitment and that their teaching practice contributes to accessibility and inclusion.
We are seeking an industry professional and scholar working at the national or international level. Substantive professional experience in Audio Engineering and Music Production is required. A Master’s degree in Music Production or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required; a Doctorate in Music Production or a related field is considered an asset.
They will incorporate their industry expertise in their teaching and will support students in experiential learning and professional development.
