Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, the Account Manager - Municipal/Commercial will be responsible for managing client and customer relationships, inside and outside sales, contract management, and marketing. This role acts on behalf of the company as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that the clients’ needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.

Responsibilities

1. Relationship Management

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction with our services.
  • Collaborate with all departments to deliver exceptional service and solutions to clients.
  • Address and coordinate solutions to escalated customer service concerns by distributing information for other team members to act on, while managing the needs of the customer and keeping them informed on progress and resolutions. This relates to issues that are escalated internally and by customers directly

2. Inside & Outside Sales

  • Develop new business opportunities within portfolio of existing clients
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Use CRM system to track and manage account activity and report on sales performance.
  • Provide demonstrations and presentations to clients as needed.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques as directed by Sr. Account Manager.
  • Fulfill Requests for Proposal (RFPs) as directed by the Sr. Account Manager.

3. Contract Management

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize business success.
  • Build internal and external onboarding packages for all new clients.
  • Distribute all necessary onboarding information to internal parties and review that they have everything necessary for successful implementation. (Operations, Administration, Customer Service and Accounting)
  • Create and deliver service change requests (SCR) to clients as a result of feedback provided by the CSS.
  • Coordinate lunch meetings with Municipal and high value commercial clients quarterly.

4. Marketing

  • Attend marketing events focused on networking, education, and customer appreciation with the intent of building strong relationships and supporting sales targets as directed by Sr. Account Manager.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, advertisements, and presentations.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing materials, working with internal teams, and external vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or comparable experience
  • Proven experience in account management, sales, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 annually plus commission and bonuses.

Health benefits, annual bonus and RSP plan provided to all full-time employees (waiting period applies).
