BURNCO is currently looking for a Loader Operator within the Calgary region for the sales operations of our Southern Alberta Aggregate Division. This is full-time, seasonal position. Applicants must have their own transportation with the ability to work at various gravel pit locations outside the city limits. You should also have the ability to safely work with and around heavy equipment, as well as the physical capacity to perform manual labour for extended periods. Flexibility to work overtime and shift work is also required.

What You Will Be Doing
Loading trucks with sand and gravel.
General maintenance of loader and garage.
General site cleanup and road maintenance
Assisting other operations and any other duties as assigned.
Following and promoting BURNCO's safety program.
What We Would Like from You
Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers abstract.
Experience in the operations of a front-end loader, preferably in the Sand & Gravel Industry.
Knowledge of sand and gravel products.
Experience in the loading of aggregate hauling trucks.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Able to identify, analyze and solve problems.
Mechanically inclined.
Record of working safely on various sites and around heavy equipment.
Flexible to work overtime as well as shift work is required.
Capable of performing manual physical labour in conditions that may include varying weather and temperature, as well as heavy lifting at times (over 23+ kg to 50+ lbs).
IMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing. Please note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for any Cannabis derived products regardless of use frequency or purpose.
