The Agriculture Engineering Team within Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Geomatics Software Engineer to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Agriculture Software Manager, the successful candidate will research, develop, and enhance high precision GNSS positioning firmware features for agriculture applications, while collaborating with other Engineers across our Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning division. Your previous experience with software development, applied math and problem solving will support ongoing business initiatives in our exciting high-tech environment.

Within the Autonomy & Positioning division, your work will contribute to the operation of our brands NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, VERIPOS and Antcom.
As an Agriculture Geomatics Software Engineer , you would be responsible for: 
Defining, together with the software architect, functional and performance requirements, design, code and testing to meet schedule for production releases.
Driving the design and verification of software features throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborating with verification designers to plan and execute tests, and to develop automated test suites.
Analyzing data using graphical and statistical tools to evaluate solutions and identify and investigate possible firmware defects.
Sc. in Geomatics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related technical field
~Experience in C/C++ software development, debugging and troubleshooting.
~ Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
~ An inherent desire for producing high quality work and continuous improvement.
Focus on meeting deadlines without sacrificing work quality. 
MSc or PhD
Good knowledge of estimation and filtering techniques (Kalman filtering, Bayesian Estimation, etc.)
