*Please note this opportunity is based out of Kelowna, BC, relocation assistance may be available to domestic candidates*Introduction:We are on the lookout for a Project Manager to join our awesome team in our Kelowna Branch We work on all types of events imaginable and as the Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning and on-site execution of assigned productions in the BC Interior and Beyond, ensuring each event is delivered to the clients full expectations. You will proactively meet with clients to determine event needs, quote based on event requirements, provide hands-on delivery and execution of events, and manage a team of technicians to ensure we deliver a high quality production.What we do:SW Event Technology is a leading full scale event services company with offices across Canada, and our winning team of industry experts brings our client's dream events to life. We deliver events far and wide across Canada and the USA and the project manager is a key player in our event delivery.What you will have the opportunity to do:Plan the event project:Understand the scope of the project in collaboration with the Sales/branch managerPrepare and communicate a detailed project execution plan, schedules, requirements and scope with clients, venues, vendors and internal team members.Actively liaise with relevant stakeholders and be in the point of contact for assigned projectsDetermine and secure the resources required to successfully complete each project ensuring cross rental management and flex order completionConduct site visitsAssess and manage transportation plans and logistics for staff and equipmentDraw and design technical plans including floor plans and rigging plotsStaff the projectDetermine staffing needs in coordination with local branchCoordinate and Manage crew & third party labour on-site and during preps in branchSupervise work quality and performance on-siteAnswer questions from TechniciansProvide training to technicians in-house and on-site as necessaryFill in as Lead AV Technician when requiredControl the projectEnsure all gear is loaded and accounted for on load in/out and supervise pack of truckMentor and coach technicians on best practices and ensure compliance with established procedures and policiesKeep labour on track, monitoring work hours and managing timelinesSuccessfully manage relationships with clients/vendors/project teamsOn-site quality control and risk managementFinancial Management of ProjectPrepare and document scope of work in collaboration with sales/general manager for client reviewManage event budget as provided and ensure adherence to company requirement to meet financial targets for profit on each project assignedAnticipate event costs and communicate additions or changes to scope of work to sales/general manager to ensure changes are billed accordinaly in advanceRecord all event costs (including third party billings) and include in job costings and billing schedules provided to the client at the time of billingCommunicate and document provisions of service (including third party costs) and execution related costs to the client and ensure applicable markups are applied as directed by sales/general managerDocument third party costs and complete individual purchase orders and ensure approved by GM prior to execution of eventEvaluate the project and reportComplete post event reporting and filing within 48 hoursDamage reporting within 24 hoursClient follow-up post eventFinalize invoicing and billingSupport other branches and divisions through management of specific events or overseeing particular teams and tasks on larger scale events as neededPerform other duties as assigned and deemed necessaryThe person we have in mind has :3+ years of prior experience in a project management role in live event productionFull technical understanding of Audio, Lighting, video and staging in concert, festival, touring and corporate settingsExperience in managing large on-site crews and third party labourStrong customer service skills and communication skillsMust be extremely detail oriented and have a great sense of urgencyAbility to juggle multiple projects and keep to tight timelinesAbility to think concisely under pressure and problem solveValid class 5 BC drivers license and comfortable driving large trucks (1,3,5 Ton’s)Are physically fit, safety-minded and able to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to be flexible in working hours and be available to work outside of regular business hours and travel to different parts of the countryWhat is on offer:Permanent Full Time Opportunity based out of Kelowna, BCAbility to make a mark on event experiences nationwide in CanadaRelocation allowance may be available for eligible domestic candidatesCompetitive base salaryExtended Health & Dental Benefits with Employee and Family Assistance CoverageHow to Apply:If this sounds like you, then are you ready to amplify your career?
