OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is responsible for completing, planning, coordinating and managing all project related for Engineering or EPC projects. The incumbent will provide project management to promote the successful execution of projects with a focus on cost efficiency, constructability and schedule. The successful candidate will be assigned to a combination of facility and oil and gas pipeline related projects as best suited based on their skills and interests.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide Project Management and leadership in a professional and organized manner for total project effort including project schedule development; participation in construction planning and design; resolution of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
  • Ensure Project Management activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall project schedule
  • Interface with all engineering departments/disciplines as required in the establishment of project schedules and resolving schedule problems
  • Project Initiation and upfront planning activities to establish clear project requirements and goals throughout the execution, monitoring and closeout.
  • Schedule management, cost management for the project
  • Team support and guidance
  • Stakeholder management
  • Meeting facilitation with all project stakeholders
  • Managing WBS, CBS and project cost reporting (Earned Value Management)
  • Interfacing with Clients for proactive dialogue/management around cost, schedule, scope, and issue resolution
  • Facilitate and chair meetings as required
  • Work in a professional and organized matter to track all

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • 5-15 years of for mal training and experience in industrial engineering design working on integrated, multi-discipline engineering or EPC projects , with minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with EPCM project delivery preferred but not required
  • Must be licensed as a professional engineer
  • Currently residing in Canada

SKILLS

  • Superior project management and leadership skills
  • Must be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices, etc (i.e. CSA Z662)
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with peers, project managers, site managers and clients proactively
  • Must have a proven track record of accomplishment as a project manager on industrial projects and be capable of working with a team of engineers, designers and support personnel
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.

**We are a hybrid office environment. This position can be located in Vancouver, BC, Kelowna, BC, or Calgary, AB
