We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for the Arthur location who is enthusiastic, driven, and an outside-the-box thinker to contribute to the growth of our business. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, dependable multitasking skills, and the ability to work quickly under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment. All duties are performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP standards, and workplace health and safety standards.Job DescriptionManage employee performance, providing positive and /or corrective feedback.Promote Safety throughout assigned work area.Ensure proper staffing before start-up of production line.Supervise, coach and train employees, providing professional development through on-going feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement.Mentor and motivate employees, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.Facilitate employee meetings, including employee training.Ensure appropriate documentation is completed and maintained.Develop and maintain a relationship with employees while promoting company values such as, good attendance, strong work ethic and a desire to see the company succeed.Communicate and ensure compliance with company policy, standards and procedures, quality standards, and QA/HACCP.Direct employees on a daily basis to efficiently meet all production goals.Responsible for employees’ performance, development, safety and work schedule.Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP, SSOPs and GMPs.Optimize employee engagement through positive leadership.Maximize yields while minimizing down time, accidents and turnover.Encourage team building and provide positive encouragement to team members.Ensure a food safe and sanitary environment within specifications.Establish and meet production schedules and efficiencies.Plan and implement process improvements.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsPoultry Plant management experience a strong plusMinimum of 2 years management experience within a manufacturing environment is requiredDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence employeesAbility to read, write and verbally communicate in EnglishAbility to use computer and generate reports using Microsoft OfficeExperience and Knowledge of regulatory requirements facing a manufacturing facilityMust be willing and able to spend up to 8 hours per work shift walking/standing/observing in hot, cold, wet, noisy conditionsMust be willing and able to wear all appropriate and required PPEBenefits:Dental careExtended health careLife insuranceVision care Location:Arthur, ONOn-Site
