Title: Branch ManagerCompany: CP DistributorsIndustry: Construction MaterialsReports to: General Manager and/or Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Location: Surrey, BCSalary: $105-115k plus a 5-10K bonusTHE OPPORTUNITY:The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Branch Operations to achieve sales, market share, and financial goals within the region, in alignment with corporate strategy set by the management team. The Branch Manager ensures performance, dedicated and capable personnel, good communication within and outside the branch, optimal use of financial resources, personal leadership, and operational excellence.AS A BRANCH MANAGER, YOU WILL:Implement a customer-driven culture in all processesMarket the company effectively within the trading areaUse sound management practices for planning, teamwork, performance management, and communicationSupervise sales and operational staff to achieve targetsUtilize internal estimating and quoting processes accuratelyApply budget and financial planning to achieve profitabilityDevelop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plansUse people management systems for recruitment, training, compensation, performance management, and safetyTrain and ensure staff have necessary resources (desks, computers, etc.)Develop individual career and performance plans with branch talentDirect all operational aspects including distribution, customer service, HR, administration, and salesMeet goals and metrics, identify improvement areas, and propose corrective actionsShare best practices and competitive intelligence with other branches and Senior ManagementAddress customer and employee satisfaction issues promptlyMaintain high ethical standards and comply with regulationsNetwork to enhance branch and company reputationMaintain and promote safety standardsEnsure fair and equitable dealings with employees, other branches, suppliers, and customersResolve inter-departmental work problems using win-win methodsProvide relevant and timely information to branch staff and management teamYOU ARE/HAVE:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce, or related field10+ years of construction management experience5+ years of team leadership (managing managers)2+ years of sales and/or account managementCompetency in MS Office, databases, and accounting softwareIntermediate accounting and inventory skillsEffective communicator and negotiatorCollaborative and resilientHighly accountable and motivatedPMP or CET considered an assetADDITIONAL: Office setting with occasional lifting (25%)ABOUT THE COMPANY: Since its inception in 1962, CP Distributors Ltd. has been a steadfast pillar in the construction industry, starting as a modest specialty distributor in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
