Furniture Sales Support and Operations Manager

Role Description

The Sales Support and Operations Manager is responsible for providing support and collaborative problem solving to the Sales Team, as well as maintaining and strengthening relationships with external clients (A+D, procurement agents, dealers, etc.) and/or vendors through exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a highly responsive and proactive person who enjoys communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and building trust to ensure a smooth sales process with efficiency and accuracy.

This role is ideal for someone interested in all facets of the sales operations process and includes the opportunity to develop and define the organisation’s CRM stages.

Key Responsibilities

This position takes incoming emails and phone calls and is responsible for the customer order pipeline including, budget pricing, formal quotations, order refinement, material sample requests, processing customer orders, resolve order discrepancies, warranty requests and technical support.

Provides direct support to the Sales Team.

Liaise with vendors to refine specifications and pricing.

Assist Sales Team in entering, tracking and updating sales opportunities in CRM through order stages.

Sample delivery and some logistics, including material samples, demo chairs and sample inventory management.

Assist with developing marketing strategies including proposals or sales presentations as required.

Coordinate A+D and dealer events, including Lunch and Learns.

Draft and develop content for a monthly email newsletter.

Maintain a client email database for newsletters.

Draft and develop content for social media accounts.

Role may include some travel.

All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

Ability to set priorities, work with minimal supervision and use good judgment.

Working knowledge of Google Workspace, PowerPoint/Keynote, Excel and willingness to learn CRM (Hubspot/Pipedrive), Later.com, Wix.com.

The ability to communicate effectively and with confidence, verbally and in writing.

Demonstrate proactive attitudes, practices and behaviours for organizational goal attainment.

Ability to coordinate activities effectively and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors and colleagues.

Adaptable to change and willing to take on new responsibilities within the role.

An Interior Design background is helpful, but not required.

A passion for furniture and design.
