Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and implementing loss prevention strategies to deter criminal activity. Duties Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security. Utilize CCTV systems to observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, accidents, or any unusual occurrences. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns. Assist in implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage. Qualifications Previous experience in law enforcement or security preferred. Valid BC Security Worker License (mandatory). Must hold class 5 driving licence. Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively. Must be physically fit and able to perform duties that may involve standing for long periods or walking extensive distances.
