Logistics Coordinator Role Overview The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the day to day oversight for picking priorities, and the delivery of orders. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and orderly delivery of customer orders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedules delivery orders based on customer orders and expectations. Confirms timing of delivery with sales staff. Provides schedule to accounting and enters into appropriate administrative system.
  • Directs the flow of order picking to ensure priorities are met. Handles customer inquiries and complaints. Expedites the delivery of customer orders to ensure commitments are achieved.
  • Monitors performance and checks accuracy of orders being loaded for delivery.
  • Reconciles any issues with the delivery of orders with customers.
  • Manages the back-order process, communicates back orders to customers.
  • Manages PRM process – scheduling pick ups and adhere to performance goals.
  • Ensures that delivery paperwork is complete, accurate and entered into the system.
  • Assists customers and other staff in the resolution of any distribution issues.

Teamwork - Works responsively and collaboratively with teammates;
Shares ideas and information to provide the best solutions for customers NOTE:
May be assigned other responsibilities based on the changing needs of customers or the business. When Operations Manager is away will undertake some additional supervisory duties.

Skills Required

  • Customer Service Skills – able to reconcile problems with customer deliveries;
    understands how delivery problems negatively impact customer relations
  • Organizational skills – able to prioritize deliver orders team;
    respond to customer inquiries and resolve in a satisfactory manner;

  • Communication Skills – provides timely and satisfactory responses to staff and customer inquiries
  • Attention to detail – accuracy and planning skills to schedule best delivery schedule and for the drivers
  • Administrative Skills –maintain accurate delivery records for the department and also to monitor and report necessary changes to inventory
  • Adherence to policy – follows and enforces Brenlo’s operating and safety policies without fail

Measures of Success

  • Minimize driving downtime, minimizes driving cost of deliveries;
    no delivery damage;
    inventory available when needed to fulfill orders
  • Customer Service Record – number of complaints from customers on mistakes or poor deliveries
  • Performs follow up calls to customers to understand delivery experience and tracks the experience.
  • Ensures drivers are contacting customer in advance of deliveries
  • Track number of deliveries per day and number of pickups.
  • Fleet maintenance;
    ensures trucks are maintained and that they are following documented PM service schedule. Ensure trucks are being washed and cleaned by drivers. Records wkly KM per truck.
  • Utilizes GPS to understand where trucks are at all times
  • Team provides respectful customer service – no complaints
  • Responds quickly and resolves any issues with customer orders
  • Adheres to Brenlo’s operating and safety standards
  • Personal work attendance
  • Respectful, accurate and timely communication with others
