If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be the ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS)
As the Executive Director at CFAS, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic leadership and strengthen its membership by generating increased value for its members, stakeholders, and strategic partners. You will be responsible for achieving strategic, financial, and operational objectives while ensuring that the organization operates in compliance with the policies established by the Board of Directors.
As the Executive Director at CFAS, you will be required to travel to the office in Dorval, Quebec 3-5 days per month and travel a few times per year throughout Canada for conferences and tradeshows.
The Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) is a multidisciplinary national non-profit Society that serves as the voice of reproductive specialists including physicians, nurses, andrologists, embryologists, research scientists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, lawyers, ethicists, administrative professionals, and trainees working in the field of Assisted Reproduction in Canada. Joining the Society not only provides the 800+ members with access to education and practice guidelines, but membership provides the opportunity to actively contribute to the field of assisted reproduction in Canada.
Governance Management
Provide executive leadership in support of short- and long-term Board and sector priorities through policy development and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Establish short, medium, and long-term objectives and strategies
Oversees the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all aspects of the Society’s Annual Meeting and other special projects including contracts with third-party vendors
Oversee facility management, sponsorship and budget
Measure employee performance
Objectives for the Executive Director
Advocate for the CFAS and its priorities, such as education, inclusivity, diversity
Advocate for the CFAS and its priorities, such as education, inclusivity, diversity
Cooperates with the Scientific Program Committee and SIGs in developing, organizing, and producing Annual Meeting and Educational Programs in compliance with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the University of British Columbia accreditation requirements for the educational activities
Oversees the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all aspects of the Society’s Annual Meeting and other special projects including contracts with third-party vendors
Bilingual in french a asset but not requirement
A current title as an Executive Director would be considered an asset.
Strong governance and operational expertise, hands-on approach; Experience managing event planning and organizing events or conferences
Corporate or board governance experience
Strategic planning and analytical thinking
Developing budgets, managing projects, and overall business management skills
