We are seeking an attorney who can provide quality legal services to our large, diverse client base. Responsibilities:

Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks

Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients needs after analysis

Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings

Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome

Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs

Consult with clients to ascertain their estate planning objectives, and provide legal guidance on matters such as wills, trusts, tax planning and asset protection

Draft, review, and revise a variety of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives

Conduct legal research on matters related to estate planning, tax law, and probate to ensure the firm's advice is up-to-date and compliant with current law

Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and implement estate planning goals tailored to individual client's needs

Represent clients in probate court and other legal forums as needed

Manage client relationships, including conducting initial consultations, follow-ups, and maintaining open lines of communication

Oversee paralegal and support staff in the preparation and organization of documents and legal filings

Qualifications:

Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred

Work independently while handling a heavy caseload

Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm

Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role

Ability to use Microsoft Office is required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Admission to the New York State Bar, with good standing

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in estate planning and related practice areas

Proficient in legal research tools and case management software

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills

Capacity to manage multiple clients and various assignments simultaneously
