Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager, and other related components.
Ensure proper integration of SAP systems with underlying infrastructure components such as databases, operating systems, and network systems.
Monitor SAP system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
Implement performance tuning measures to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency.
Manage user accounts, roles, and authorizations within the SAP environment.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard SAP systems and data from unauthorized access or breaches.
Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters.
Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness.
Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in coordination with stakeholders to ensure system reliability and compliance with vendor recommendations.
Perform regression testing and post-upgrade validations to verify system stability and functionality.
Manage interfaces and integrations between SAP systems and other applications or platforms.
Coordinate with development teams and third-party vendors to design, implement, and troubleshoot interfaces as needed.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Share knowledge and provide guidance to other team members and end-users on SAP Basis administration tasks and troubleshooting techniques.
Respond to and resolve SAP system-related incidents and problems in a timely manner, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Perform capacity planning to anticipate future resource requirements and ensure scalability of SAP systems.
Optimize resource utilization and recommend infrastructure enhancements or upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
SAP Basis certification preferred.
Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of SAP system architecture and administration principles.
Knowledge of SAP database administration (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP IQ, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Success Factors, SAP Web Dispatcher, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
Proficiency in SAP system installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with cloud-based SAP deployments (e.g., SAP on AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
