Job DescriptionThe Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for supporting the procurement function by analyzing and developing strategic sourcing initiatives. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize the supply chain and drive cost savings.This position manages RFx’s, suppliers, and collects and analyzes data related to the products and services of the company. The Analyst will develop insight and expertise in the categories managed over time. This position requires a self-motivated person.Supports the NAM team in the procurement of goods and services for across the laboratory category to ensure they are in line with the Global Procurement policyLeads and supports sourcing projects through a formalized processEvaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and serviceSupports the development of category strategies and partners with key stakeholders to review policies and procedures related to sourcing, negotiations, and contract executionSupports direct and indirect cost reduction by negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost savingsLead sourcing initiatives, including RFQs, RFPs, and negotiationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goalsManages the RFx’s process utilizing eProcurement toolsConducts bench marketing analysis to ensure cost are in line with market conditionsDevelops new supply sources where suppliers are no longer competitiveAdheres to internal standards, policies and procedures Facilitates supplier relationship and performance reviews to guarantee accomplishments of the business needCollaborates with Business Units to influence supplier engagementReviews supplier reporting to validate contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA)s are being metReviews and monitors supplier issues Performs other duties as assigned QualificationsA minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) is requiredA post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a related program is an asset3- 5 years of procurement related experience required Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.Ability to think long-term and develop innovative sourcing strategiesMeticulous attention to detail in analyzing data and managing supplier relationshipsFocused on achieving measurable results and driving continuous improvementFlexible and able to adapt to changing business needs and prioritiesStrong planning, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projectsAbility to work in a fast-paced, virtual and dynamic environmentResults driven and seeks to improve the business needs without constate managementMust be detail oriented and comfortable working on your own initiativeExcellent MS Office Excel skills, including creating and manipulating pivot tables Excellent written and verbal communications skillsFamiliarity with eSourcing and e-buying tools, SharePoint Analysis and Problem Solving – Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectivesTeam work – Ability to work collaboratively with both suppliers and key stakeholders.
