Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as an Industrial Automation Specialist/PLC Programmer at Tusk Automation Inc in Kamloops, BC. As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing PLC/SCADA based automation solutions.QualificationsDemonstrated experience of developing custom PLC programs from scratchMinimum of 3yrs years experience programming with Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert or similar industrial platformFamiliarity with PLC programming best practicesFamiliarity with High Performance HMI (ISA101) and similar standardsKnowledge of industrial SCADA/DCS programming platforms including Factory Talk SE, PlantPAx, WinCC, Wonderware, DeltaV or similar.Knowledge of OT networking and communication protocols (EthernetIP, Modbus RTU, Profinet and similar)Problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsEffective Communication and Training abilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to plan workflow and time managementElectrical knowledge and familiarity with industrial process controlCompensationSalary: 80-95k/yr depending on experienceVacation: 4 weeksExtended Health/Dental coverageRelocation assistanceCompany phone/LaptopWhy Kamloops?Set against the breathtaking backdrop of British Columbia's interior, Kamloops offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and urban convenience.
