Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Industrial Automation Specialist/PLC Programmer at Tusk Automation Inc in Kamloops, BC. As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing PLC/SCADA based automation solutions.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience of developing custom PLC programs from scratch
  • Minimum of 3yrs years experience programming with Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert or similar industrial platform
  • Familiarity with PLC programming best practices
  • Familiarity with High Performance HMI (ISA101) and similar standards
  • Knowledge of industrial SCADA/DCS programming platforms including Factory Talk SE, PlantPAx, WinCC, Wonderware, DeltaV or similar.
  • Knowledge of OT networking and communication protocols (EthernetIP, Modbus RTU, Profinet and similar)
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective Communication and Training abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to plan workflow and time management
  • Electrical knowledge and familiarity with industrial process control


Compensation

Salary: 80-95k/yr depending on experience

Vacation: 4 weeks
