We're on the lookout for a Senior Corporate Tax Advisor (SME) to join our team and make an impact in our tax department. If you've got 7+ years of experience and a CPA to your name, you're exactly who we're looking for to take charge in mastering US GAAP, IFRS, and Canadian and US tax regulations. TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Corporate Tax Advisor (SME) in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Prepare tax working papers, analyses, and gather information for partnership and corporate income tax returns.
Facilitate the tax compliance process with external advisors.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate and partnership income tax returns across Canada and the US.
Assist with monthly GST filings for corporate entities.
Coordinate tax installment payments and remittances to tax authorities.
S. and Canadian tax provisions and disclosures for external financial statements.
Reconcile income tax accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Prepare quarterly and annual tax accounting provisions under U.Support responses to federal, provincial, and state income tax audits.
Drive process improvement opportunities to enhance tax efficiency.
Monitor tax legislation and assess its impact on the company.
Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders and stay informed on tax developments.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate tax.
Proficiency in utilizing systems such as SAP, ERP, and Great Plains for tax-related processes.
Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS, with comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and US tax laws and regulations.
Proven track record of successfully managing corporate tax compliance and optimization initiatives.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to stakeholders.
