STUDENT AFFAIRS AND SERVICES
The primary purpose of Student Affairs & Services (SAS) is to support students in achieving their academic, personal, and life goals. 42 per hour
Reporting to the Manager, Residence Administration, the Receptionist is responsible for all front desk services for traditional residences, Magee apartments as well as UNB owned internal apartments. This position assists Residence Staff with administrative projects or tasks while also frequently interacting with students and guests.
Provide administrative support for Residence staff.
Assist in tracking summer residence and early arrival/late departure fees.
Relay information to local, national and international students regarding residence, room numbers, move-in details, Residence policies and other general inquiries pertaining to the upcoming academic year.
Maintain a professional, clean and tidy front of office.
Assist with spring and/or summer Orientation (SOAR) events.
sort and distribute both office, staff and residence mail received.
Act as back up for all residence facilities work orders, key issues, room assignment/room move issues, etc.
Assist with recruiting/interviewing and hiring student front desk part time staff.
Train, mentor and supervise student front desk staff including scheduling, workflow etc.
Other general administrative tasks, as requested.
3-5 years experience in a related customer service or administrative position.

High comfort level working in Microsoft 365.
Experience with software such as Transact, E Res Life, and Colleague considered an asset.
