Network Specialist (Contract Position)Number of Positions: 1 Filled: 0 Duration: 12 monthsLocation: Mississauga, ON, CAMust be eligible to work in CanadaHybrid position, 3days / week onsite mandatory Will need to work off hours during and around implementation timeframes (evening and weekends)Must skills and qualifications:4-6 years Network experienceCisco- LAN/WANCisco Meraki wireless experienceExperience with OSPF BGP for routingExperience installing and building Network technologiesGreat communication skillsNice to have:Agile experienceFirewall/Palo Alto (nice to have)SD WAN with Fortinet ( nice to have)Roles and responsibilities:5+ Years of of Network Experience + Experience with: Cisco- LAN/WAN,Cisco Meraki wireless, OSPF BGP for routing and experience installing and building Network technologies• Provides Low to medium complexity network support activities including off-shift support• Completes network Engineering and Administration maintenance tasks and analyzes process for improvement• Performs Low to medium complexity network changes and implementations• Participates in the network technology design process• Analyzes potential changes and enhancements to network software and hardware to determine impact on existing production• Works as a member of a project team on business projects• Performs other duties as assigned• Requires in-depth knowledge of network hardware and software technologies and best practices• Knowledge of a network technology discipline (e.g. IP Routing and Switching, Routing Protocols, WAN, Firewall, Packet Analysis, IP Telephony, Infrastructure, Capacity Planning, IT Tools and other relevant technologies.• Knowledge of the organization, processes and customers• Knowledge of incident and change management principles and best practices• 5 years of experience installing and building Network technologies
