These positions are part of the PE Development Program designed to develop individuals from the PE-01 to PE-04 levels. The Program provides a structured developmental experience, composed of learning objectives, developmental work assignments, coaching, training and learning activities, regular feedback, and written performance assessments.

Global Affairs Canada will be following the direction from the Office of the Chief Human Resource Officer on the introduction of a common hybrid work model across the federal public service. This common hybrid work model will consist of work on site at least 2 days each week, or 40% of their regular schedule. We could, however, accept a person teleworking full-time under certain circumstances.

If you are curious, creative and passionate about modernizing work in the Canadian Foreign Service then look no further Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
Experience participating on a project team or working group engaged in the implementation, monitoring or evaluation of policies or programs.
• Significant refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of a broad range of related activities which were the candidate’s primary responsibility for over a year. ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Professional project management designation such as PMP.
• Completion of one or more classification courses from the Canada School of Public Service such as P930, P911, P912, P916 or other training deemed relevant by the evaluation committee such as Hay plan training.
Experience in coordinating classification or organizational design projects or initiatives.
• Experience working for an organization that has an international mandate or works on international issues (e.g. public, private or non-governmental organizations).
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge of current trends and initiatives in classification within the Federal Public Service;
• Knowledge of the Canadian federal Classification Directive and its appendices.
