What & Why:
As a result of investment in technology and process, our client is looking to add a Portfolio Coordinator to their enterprise team. In this role you will flex between multiple types of work, you will start operational projects and manage them through timely delivery, ask strategic questions and seek the answers working with various stakeholders at different levels of altitude across technology. You will manage and prioritize tasks, maintain a backlog and provide communication and direction to impacted stakeholders. The role involves data analysis, reporting, and providing actionable insights. You will work in lock step with teams to drive the implementation of portfolio processes and operational transformation across two broad tech organizations. You will support in the change management and rollout of new processes and tools and create space for team members to share feedback and ideas that can help us continually grow and improve how they operate. You should have a history of demonstrated results supporting large cross-functional portfolios across matrixed organizations.

They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment, 3 days a week on site.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
  • Minimum of 5+ years working in technology operations, Portfolio Operations or a related field
  • 5-7+ years in project coordinator or management role
  • Experience driving program/project management for large projects / initiatives
  • Experience delivering change and/or working within a growth org context is helpful
  • Ability to influence and manage conversations and meetings across the organization at multiple levels, particularity around strategic issues to bring structure to ambiguous environments – a strong team player
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) nice to have
  • Change Management Certification (PROSCI) nice to have
  • Process Improvement Certification (Lean Six Sigma) nice to have
