SAIT's School of Manufacturing and Automation, and School of Transportation provides the skills-based training and development to prepare students for a career in Alberta's rapidly growing transportation, manufacturing and automation sectors. We provide applied learning in action through our trades and technology programs. We are seeking a full-time, temporary salaried instructor who is a dynamic team-oriented individual to instruct within the Heavy Equipment Technician Programs. Continuously develop professionally by enhancing both technical knowledge and instructional skills
You must hold an Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent with interprovincial (Red Seal) status
Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated experience and are up to date with current technologies specifically in diesel engines, electrical & electronics, braking systems, and suspension systems and hydraulics
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OEM proprietary software (Wabco, Cat ET,etc.) and/or other related software (Adobe suite, D2L etc.) will be considered assets
Dual certification will be considered an asset (e.g., Automotive & Heavy Duty)
Prior teaching experience will also be considered an asset
