**Position Title**: Business Administration Instructor

**Reports To**: Lead Instructor/Campus Administrator

**Location**: PIMT Calgary Campus, Hybrid

**Schedule**:Monday to Friday, 6pm - 10pm (22hrs/wk)

**Hourly Rate:$30-$33/hr**

PIMT (Prairie Institute of Management & Technology) in Calgary is a licensed **Private Career College (PCC)** delivering industry-aligned Business Administration programs. Our mission is to empower students with the practical skills, professional competencies, and confidence necessary for success in todays workplace supported by compliance with Alberta's regulatory standards for private vocational training.

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and deliver business administration courses (e.g., Marketing, Accounting, Management, Business Law).
  • Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with both industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person or virtual classes using active learning strategies (case studies, projects, etc.).
  • Track and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and academic support.
  • Maintain student records (attendance, grades, transcripts, assessments) in compliance with PCC standards.
  • Submit and retain instructor qualification documentation (resumes, credentials, evidence of relevant experience).
  • Participate in curriculum reviews to ensure program relevance and labor market alignment updated at least every two years.
  • Support annual reporting requirements, including data on graduation and job placement rates (minimum 70% threshold to maintain licensure).
  • Assist with inspections or desk audits as needed, ensuring documentation and teaching practices are in compliance.

**Qualifications & Compliance**

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or closely related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience and instructional experience required for PCC instructor documentation.
  • Experience with curriculum development, adult learning principles, and/or instructional design is an asset.
  • Proficient in digital tools and platforms for online or blended learning environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate records and meeting regulatory obligations.
