This is a full-time Process Engineer-In-Training role located in Sudbury, ON or Oakville, ON, with some flexibility for remote work.

The Process Engineer-In-Training will support a wide range of technical and project activities including:
Process design, modeling, and control
Supporting chemical and process engineering projects
Designing and supervising laboratory test work for material characterization and backfill performance evaluation
Performing data analysis and preparing technical reports
Assisting in the design and execution of mine backfill process studies, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory standards
Developing and updating process flow diagrams (PFDs) to support engineering and project deliverables
Contributing to QA/QC and troubleshooting during project execution
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and laboratory groups, to ensure efficient and cost-effective project delivery

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
Skills in Process Design and Process Control
Strong Analytical Skills for data interpretation, mass balance calculations, and technical assessments
Experience with laboratory test work planning, execution, and management
Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and present results effectively
Ability to work independently and remotely as required
Willingness and ability to travel to operating sites as needed
Relevant experience in the mining and mineral processing sectors is an asset
Proficiency with process simulation tools (SysCAD) is an asset
