Hours 2–3 days per week Approximately 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Starting Summer 2026 Continuing year-round if it's a good fit We'd love to find someone who becomes part of our family's support system long-term. In addition to regular daytime hours, we'd ideally like someone who is available for an occasional evening (about once per month) so we can sneak away for a date night. About Our Family We have three children ages 4, 7, and 9. During the summer, all three children will be home. Once school resumes in the fall, the primary focus will be our 4-year-old during school hours. Our kids are active, creative, energetic, and love being outdoors. Some of our children have diagnosed ADHD & anxiety so we're looking for someone who is patient, calm, understanding, and able to provide supportive structure while still making the day fun and engaging. I work from home and am available throughout the day, but I'm looking for someone who can confidently take initiative and help keep the day running smoothly. The kids are always welcome to come chat with me, but having someone who can help keep them engaged and busy while I'm working would be a huge help. We also share our home with a friendly dog and two pet bunnies, so applicants should be comfortable around animals and willing to include them as part of daily family life. What We're Looking For We're hoping to find someone who is: Playful and engaging with children Calm, patient, and emotionally supportive Organized and proactive Comfortable taking initiative without needing constant direction Creative with activities, crafts, and outdoor adventures Comfortable around pets (we have a dog and two bunnies) Experienced caring for children with varying needs and personalities Responsible This role will be approximately 70% childcare and 30% household support. Childcare Planning activities, crafts, and outdoor play Keeping children active, engaged, and having fun Supporting emotional regulation and positive routines Taking children to local parks and activities when appropriate Supervising and participating in play Household Support Meal preparation and occasional dinner preparation Dishes and kitchen clean-up Laundry Tidying toys and common areas Vacuuming and light household cleaning Bathroom cleaning School lunch preparation during the school year There may also be opportunities for deeper cleaning or organizing projects on days when childcare responsibilities are lighter. The Ideal Candidate The biggest goal of this role is helping create a household that feels calm, organized, and functional. This role is less about strict childcare and more about helping our household run smoothly. We're looking for someone who enjoys jumping into the flow of family life
- keeping kids engaged, helping with meals and household tasks, and creating a calm, organized environment while I work from home. If you love planning fun activities, encouraging outdoor play, helping kids burn off energy, and taking pride in leaving a space better than you found it, we'd love to hear from you. Bonus points if you're an animal lover, because our dog and two bunnies are very much part of the family too Please tell us about your childcare experience, relevant training, availability, and what makes you a great fit for this type of role.
