The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership position focused on enabling and supporting the vision, mission and strategic

direction of Carewest as a member of the Executive Leadership Committee, leading a diverse team and facilitating a program

approach to service delivery, living the Carewest values. The incumbent has responsibility for the overall development, integrity

and promotion of the assigned clinical portfolio and effective management of the designated site(s), working in partnership with

other clinical portfolios and corporate support services. This position is responsible for promoting Carewest's culture of quality

through an unwavering commitment to client-centered care, innovation, managed risk taking, accountability, and open, clear and

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health related field required.
  • Relevant Master's Degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years successful progressive experience in an operational leadership role in a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is required. Prior experience in continuing care and geriatrics required.
  • A proven leader, you are a caring, strategic results-oriented leader and decision maker with a strong desire to make a difference. You lead others through a shared vision, creating a culture of excellence, inclusion, client and staff safety, caring and teamwork.
  • You have successfully led significant change within your teams and the greater health system, focusing on relationships, collaboration, and partnerships, demonstrating your commitment to continuous quality improvement and supporting people through change.
  • You have demonstrated excellence in human and fiscal resource management.
  • You demonstrate the leadership skills as per the LEADS in a caring environment framework including excellence in leading self, engaging others, developing coalitions, and achieving results.
