Asset Integrity Specialist

Length: 12-Month contract to start

Rotation: 4-3 10/hr days

Accommodations to be provided by the client however there would be a rent fee for the home which would be payable by the contractor. The Asset Integrity Specialist is a key member of the Conventional Business Unit AI team. The A&OI Specialist is accountable for executing the field implementation of the AI Program, in support of the Integrated Partnership model in Production Operations. The AI Specialist does this by maintaining a high level of technical ability and managing activities related to mechanical integrity, pipeline integrity, chemical applications, corrosion identification and mitigation, inspection and monitoring techniques, and failure analysis.



The primary focus of this position is the implementation of the requirements of the ABSA Registered, Conventional BU Pressure Equipment integrity Management (PEIM) program. Internal and external inspection of Pressure Vessels, pressure piping and boilers at the Rainbow Lake Plant and field facilities
Planning, scheduling and supervision of NDE activities in the plant and field
Participating in / leading the incident investigation and failure analysis of pressure equipment failures
Support, participated and follow-up for internal and regulatory audits
coordinate / supervise the completion of all required NDE activities performed by contractors
complete thorough investigations and failure analyses of pressure equipment related failures
Provide input into business, budgeting and T/A planning activities
Experience in use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
Knowledge of pipeline codes and regulations an asset.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel an asset
A Technologist diploma in Materials, Chemical, Petroleum, Welding or other relevant Engineering Technology program
API-570, 653 and National Board Certifications not required but considered an asset
Valid Class 5 drivers license and acceptable abstract
