About you
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
~3+ years of experience as a Commercial/Residential Real Estate Law Clerk
~ Knowledge of Registry, Land Titles and Polaris systems for title searching and registration in both paper-based and electronic land registration systems
~ Experience with electronic database filings and processing high volumes of documentation
~ College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate
~ Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel
~ Strong work ethic, problem-solving, and commitment to excellence
~ Bilingual (French) reading and writing abilities are an asset


About the role
If hired, you will:
Assist lawyers with commercial real estate transactions and due diligence tasks
Conduct, review, and report on title and off-title searches for transactions
Interact with the land registry office to resolve unique title issues in real-time
Manage and organize portfolio transactions while liaising with key stakeholders
Draft key documents, including requisitions, closing documents, and final reports
Participate in closing, purchase sale, and financing transactions
Be responsible for matter management and data management, including scoping and budgeting
